Advisory Council
The Montana Land Information Advisory Council was established through Senate Bill 98, commonly known as the Montana Land Information Act, passed in the 2005 session of the Montana Legislature. Complete referece to the statute can be found at http://data.opi.mt.gov/bills/mca_toc/90_1.htm
The Council advises the Department of Administration on the planning and grant process established in statute, as well as providing policy level direction in the advancement of Geographic Information Technology in general.
