SPURS Project Update 2/4/2005
The SPURS project, which involved the combined effort from the Department of Administration (DOA), Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Department of Labor and Industries (DOLI), has been successfully completed with the following results:
- The IRIS project launched 5 tax types to include Withholding, Lodging and Facilities, Cigarette, Combined Oil and Gas, and Rental Vehicle by August 2004.
- The Phoenix project moved unemployment insurance tax back to the Department of Labor and Industries (DOLI) in June 2004.
Direct oversight from the Department of Administration is no longer being provided. Unemployment insurance tax is now being managed by DOLI, and DOR has moved forward by launching Corporate Tax this February and targets launching Individual Income Tax in September 2005.
More specific information is available on each project.
